Books/Audiobooks

1. To learn how to make money, use money, and grow money properly, start with The Richest Man in Babylon by George Samuel Clason. This book is short and sweet and has great wisdom and lessons, is by far the best book on how to properly understand how money works and how to make it work for you. If you only read/listen to one book, this is the one you should choose.

2. Your Money Or Your Life by Joseph R. Dominguez and Vicki Robin

This is a much longer book than The Richest Man in Babylon, but it's a very practical book that includes alot of stories and detailed steps.

3. The Wealthy Barber Returns by David Chilton

I am a big fan of David Chilton, he was also a Dragon on CBC's Dragons' Den. He wrote the original The Wealthy Barber in 1989 as a practical how-to finance book that really took off. He wrote the 2nd book The Wealthy Barber Returns in 2011 so it is more up to date.

Brendan @ Wealth Canada

I’m passionate about personal finance and investing. I’ve been investing for over 10 years and have a real estate and stock portfolio worth over $560,000.

My financial education videos have received over 3 million views and over 100,000 hours of watch time on TikTok and YouTube. I’ve enjoyed answering thousands of questions.

I love helping others take control of their money and financial future with proven, sustainable, long-term investing principles. Now, I’m showing you everything that I know.

My story

About Me

My name’s Brendan 👋 I'm a 28 year old Canadian. I've been investing since I was 16 and currently own $200,000 in real estate equity (rental property), $170,000 in a real estate development (investment), and $190,000 in stock equity.

I share my knowledge freely with family and friends, to help them improve their financial situation.

I created Wealth Canada because I was shocked at the amount of poor financial advice online, and I want to help as many people as possible.

Mission

I have been very fortunate so I am freely sharing my knowledge with you. All of my knowledge is freely posted on TikTok and YouTube. I have nothing to sell you.

For majority of people, you don't need to spend a dollar to learn how to be better with your money and how to invest it properly. I learned everything I know online and for free. You can ask me unlimited questions for free by commenting on my videos, I will reply, that ensures that more knowledge gets shared publicly and helps my videos reach more people.

However, if you would like to have a 1:1 meeting with me to go into your specific questions, I am offering that for a small fee.

Qualifications

I passed the Canadian financial advisor certification exam. I am qualified and eligible to be a financial advisor, however I am not currently a registered financial advisor. I decided to pass the certification but not move forward with registering and actively being a financial advisor because I am not interesting in doing it as a full time career at this time.

I work for a technology company and enjoy the flexibility of sharing my knowledge about personal finances and investing online on my own schedule and at a leisurely pace (without any corporate targets, products to sell you, etc.)

To become a Canadian financial advisor, all that is required is to pass a certification exam. This means that alot of new financial advisors go into it as a career/job, but themselves may not have much wealth of their own. I believe the best teachers in life lead by example and have experience and knowledge, not only a certification or title. Because of this thinking, I believe that results is a better qualification than a certification/passing an exam. This applies to any industry/subject.

How I make money from Wealth Canada

1. The main way I make money from Wealth Canada is when people book 1:1 calls with me. 100% of my knowledge is freely available within the TikTok and YouTube videos I post. Booking a call and paying me is not necessary. However, I get several requests for people who want me to review their personal situation, and because my time is valuable I charge for these calls. If it would be valuable to meet with me, that option is available, however I encourage you to comment on my videos to ask any questions you have for free and invest the money that you would have paid for a call.

2. Wealthsimple affiliate link, you and I both get $25 when you sign up using my link. Wealthsimple is currently the only affiliate program I am apart of, I have turned down numerous sponsorships because I don’t believe in their product or believe it is the absolute best option for my followers. I recommend Wealthsimple because I personally use it for the majority of my stock investments.

3. In the future I plan to make advertisement revenue from YouTube videos.

Wealth Canada's mission is to make personal finance & investing simple by providing quality financial education.
